Blinking furiously, Ed tried to clear the sunspots from his eyes. The alarm screeched through his brain, rising and falling in ear-splitting tedium. He felt like the sword of Ares' final blow was dangling over his pounding head. The drab off-white colour of the roof slowly swam into view, but the air above him was empty.

Pokeventure Round 3 Part 2 Ed shifted uncomfortably on the cool stone floor of the cage. While resting had eased his injuries a fair bit, a stabbing pain still lingered up his left side whenever he sat down. Flopping backwards, he groaned as his arms, which were bound behind his back, prevented him from even lying down properly. He stood up. Tapping a paw on the pale stone, he frowned. Who would put stone in a cage, anyway? . I think it's a great way to practice my writing some more. Don't know if I'm jumping in the deep end here, what with being new to Deviantart and all, but I have plenty of time this year so I'm confident I can keep up.
